An annual Office Exhibition took place in the Middle East at the Dubai World Trade Center in May 2012. Over 130 companies were exhibiting the latest office interior design solutions and new styles for 11th year now.
The exhibition was officially opened by H.E. Humaid Mohamed Obaid Al Qutami, the United Arab Emirates Minister of Education. Over the years the exhibition has become well known in the Middle East as the chosen destination for interior design professionals looking for inspiration and new design products.
Before the exhibit even begun, registrations to attend were up 15% from 2011 figures. In excess of 5,500 visitors were expected over the three days, with delegates comprising of trade, business and interior specialists from across the globe. The show has also expanded with its increase in visitor interest with additional floor space up by 17%. The event director of the exhibition David Wilson said:
“The region’s commercial real estate sector is making a positive comeback with promising opportunities and our exhibitors obviously want to take advantage of this. Being the region’s only dedicated show for commercial interior environments, there is no better place to do business.”

For the first time the exhibition recognized the need to attract forward thinking companies from the US and other countries. A specific exhibit area known as ‘The Campus’ included new participants from Canada: Global and Allseating. From the US Trendway made its first time appearance.
