I came across this unique restaurant design idea today. The restaurant Et Cetara was designed by a German designer Jan Schreiner. What really makes a powerful impact in his design is a sharp contrast of the light feminine pink color and curves with the dark background and massive shapes. You can see similar motives and contrasts get repeated in Jan’s other design work as well.
When the designer was asked about the choice of pink color, he replied that “pink” was a trend in 2010 in restaurant industry and overall in architecture. So that simply dictated his final choice.
The pinkish roses on the chairs add a wonderful feel to this otherwise dark interior. Schreiner is definitely one of the most daring designers and is lucky to have a client who trusts his talent!
