By now everyone knows that the new color of the year 2015 is:
MARSALA PANTONE 18-1438
Here is what the Executive Director of Pantone Color Institute Leatrice Eiseman said about the new selected color:
“Marsala enriches our mind, body and soul, exuding confidence and stability. Marsala is a subtly seductive shade, one that draws us in to its embracing warmth. ”
But how can we, interior designers and architects, use this color? Here are some ideas I gathered from different designers sites.

You can use the new color of the year as a bight spot in a form of an art piece on a wall. The good news is Marsala color goes really well with other colors or on a plain white wall.

One strategically placed art piece can easily brighten up a whole room. The same goes for a piece of furniture in the new exciting color of the year upholstery. The good news is that this color was used by furniture companies companies for quite a while and can be easily found in a store right now. One of the examples is this contemporary sofa below.

It’s also an easy color to find accent pillows for.
