This 2Day Languages, a new Spanish school in Valencia was designed by Masquespacio, studio specializing in interior design and communication.
The interior branding of 2Day Language School is being represented by a flag that is fused with text bubbles representing three fundamentals of any language learning: levels, goal and conversation. A tremendous historic value of Valencia city is also mixed with new set of materials in this mixture of modern and old architecture.
Area of the school is only around 2,000 sf, but it contains three classrooms, a staff room and a lounge. Each of the classrooms and common rooms represent different aspects of the main brand of the school incorporating characteristics of the Spanish language and architecture of Valencia.
The 3 classrooms are painted in 3 different colors: blue, yellow and pink. These colors represent the three levels (A, B and C) established by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. These colors have also become part of this school interior brand. The colors in each room are also applied as fading representing the progress in language learning.
“We opted for warm materials like pine to generate pleasurable sensations with functional features to make easier the school operations. 2 tables instead of 1 in each classroom were chosen to be separated and stacked during activities. Also the chairs were chosen to offer maximum comfort to the students and with stack options for better circulation during activities.” Points out creative director of Masquespacio.
Total cost of this school remodel was $34,000. This really shows that it doesn’t have to cost a lot of money to create a wonderful interior branding for a school. See more images of this project on this website.
