New Innovative Wall and Ceiling Materials

An easy way to infuse a sense of luxury into a commercial space is by incorporating reflective textured materials into the design. These not only create a unique wall or ceiling landscape that immediately captures attention, but also offer the illusion of movement and dynamism, enriching the overall space. Some of the wall and ceiling materials we love come from Materials Inc., available in both cold and warm color options and make for some spectacular interior designs.

The beauty of the Elements Oceano self-adhesive sheets lies in their ripple effect, which perfectly suits their name. Combined with their mirror finish, they evoke the mesmerizing movement and shimmering reflections of water.

Using them on a small scale is enough to add depth and dimension to your interior. However, on a larger scale, they become an absolute showstopper. Some of the available colors perfectly imitate those of the ocean depths, tricking the eye with their shifting tones and reflections. They make excellent choices for bars and can be used in combination with lighting to create a dramatic focal point.

The lightweight construction makes these panels a great option for spicing up a storefront window. They allow for plenty of creative possibilities when used as elements in an artistic display, especially when water is its central theme.

The panels are abrasion-resistant and suitable for wet environments. If your interior includes water features, incorporating a decorative area that uses these panels can create a captivating visual response to the movement of water. In this particular interior, for instance, the pink panels mirror the water below, creating the illusion of a second swimming pool on the ceiling.

A similar effect is created with these embossed metal sheets, which can be used in a wide range of applications, from simple wall or ceiling decorative options to retail displays, cabinet faces, and partitions. Made from stainless steel and aluminum, these panels offer long-lasting performance and are a sustainable choice.

We used this type of decorative wall and ceiling materials as cabinet faces in the design of a vaping supply store. The long display and service counter needed a visual break, and the ripple-effect panels provided just that.

Not only did they introduce variety, but they also enhanced the lighting and reflected the colors of the interior, creating a dynamic, flowing, and ethereal atmosphere. The ripples themselves suggested the swirling motion of vapor, which tied in perfectly with the store’s theme.

Metal mesh is another choice with excellent decorative potential when it comes to wall and ceiling materials. Its value lies in the combination of metal’s durability and aesthetics with the flow and transparency of woven textiles. In a restaurant, where you want to create partitions without breaking the space into smaller areas, metal mesh is an ideal solution. You can even craft sculptural partitions that extend to the ceiling, emphasizing the height of the room while maintaining an open, airy feel.

One of the most unexpected ways to use them is to treat them as a textile and take advantage of their flowing texture. This approach offers an unexpected aesthetic—high-class, sophisticated, and uniquely modern.
