The Black Rabbit Shot Company in Liverpool city center is a fascinating example of how a creative restaurant interior designer can unfold his/her vision. With its quirky and unusual design, this very popular venue is a visual treat to its visitors.
The restaurant’s interior utilizes color changes in both lighting and wall colors. For example, an animal mural on the wall changes in color in RGB wallpaper as well as the lighting colors above the mural. By using these color changes, the restaurant interior designer created the effect of different animals popping out at the viewer.
The space of the restaurant interior is basically that of a mausoleum and is enhanced by dark lighting. To balance this sense of darkness out, warm colors such as gold displays and maroon booths are used throughout the space. The overall effect is a restaurant design that balances dark and warm colors, setting the perfect mood for visitors.
Several oddities are found throughout the restaurant design. These odd pieces often include taxidermy such as: a bunny riding a dead alligator, a chicken with four legs, a dead disco dog, a pigeon sculpture, and even a mouse dressed as the pope. One of the most striking elements of the restaurant design is the tiled rose mosaic surrounding the bar. Restaurant interior designer Snook drew from the idea of overgrown roses in a graveyard when coming up with this beautiful bar design. The overall design of this venue attracts visitors and creates numerous opportunities for conversation pieces.
