Cyberport’s Smart-Space 3 business center in Hong Kong went through a great transformation of the office design. This IT landmark on the South Side of the island has breathtaking views of the open water. Envisioned as a high tech, high touch experience, the design combines the latest in technology with organic plants intending to support and enhance human experience: engagement, collaboration and idea generation.

More than 100 combinations of carpet patterns provide both a sense of comfort as well as visual organization of many open spaces, including break areas and collaborative spaces. In addition to being defined by carpet pattern, some spaces are also defined by details like groupings of related furnishings, color, dropped ceiling and raised floor. Smaller offices are separated from the open areas with wide sliding wood doors and glass partitions.

This government facility provides 27,000 square feet of office, conference, and break areas that can accommodate up to 134 startups. This includes 46 offices, 24 work stations, and 32 flexi-spaces. Most spaces allow for between 2 and 12 people. Other perks include a free gym membership, spacious interiors, and a reputation as a great social hub.
